Groundhog Day Ski Tour

Groundhog Day Ski Tour– Join the Detroit Lakes Nordic Club for an afternoon of skiing. Meet at the Pine Lake Parking area for a 5 mile trek on the refuge. Location will be determined by snow conditions. Transportation will be provided if shuttle is necessary.
Meet the new Detroit Lake Nordic Ski Club for an afternoon of skiing in the backcountry of Tamarac Refuge. Bring your own skis and meet at the Pine Lake parking area for a 5 mile trek on the refuge. Snow conditions will determine the location and transportation will be provided if a shuttle is necessary. This will be a leisurely 2 hour ski with generally even terrain. Along with the groundhog’s shadow, we will look for porcupine, owls, and signs of fox, wolf or bobcat.
